Our Founder and Director, Caroline Townsend, liked the idea of using a traditional country fabric like Harris Tweed for something other than sludge-green shooting jackets. Her first collection of Harris Tweed shoes and boots was unveiled at the Royal Highland Show in 2006 and has proved popular ever since. "The brilliance of tweed for footwear is that it is so robust and versatile. You can wear our tweed slingbacks with everything from a city suit to a pair of scruffy jeans. Added to which the patterns are absolutely unique," comments the designer. "These shoes may be tweedy but they are certainly not frumpy!"
